The general looked just as surprised as Mateo and Arata, who exchanged glances before looking to Hime. 'What is she doing?!' Was their shared thought, not understanding why she would so suddenly give herself up, especially with this air of confidence. 'Where did this come from?' Mateo thought, staring at Hime poised in the man's chair like she ran the place. Hell, the soldiers that were watching her believed she could.
The General would normally have been pissed off and had her thown in a cell somewhere for this act of defiance. But then again...this was a new, intersting advisary. He looked to her, his smile calculating as he took her offer into consideration. "Alright, you have yourself a deal. But just to make sure we're clear on this, you're friends will be placed under my men's supervision till this is all said and done. Then they're free to go, no harm done to any of them." He said, giving her the once over. "Such a valuable prize won. My assistant will show you to a room. The quick ceremony will be in an hour." He said, giving his men a slight jerk of his head towards the door. They grabbed Mateo and Arata, both of course rsisting.
"Hime, you don't have to-!" Mateo shouted as he was dragged back but the door was slammed in his face. The General chuckled, "Seems the boy isn't too happy with this arrangement after all, Hime. Hmm odd name, but has a nice exoticc flaire to it." He said as the armed man who spoke english bowed slightly to Hime.
"I'll escort you to you're room, madamioselle."

Arata gave Mateo a dirty look the entire time they were dragged down to the holding cells. Finally when they were thrown in the cell, Arata went to yell at him but Mateo interupted him.
"Freya!" Mateo hurried to the cell bars seperating them in their side by side cells. He had a relieved look on his face to match the relief he felt that she was alive and unharmed.
"Are you alright? No one hurt you?" He asked of hher, then noticed the dog in her arms.
"Who's that?" Arata rolled his eyes.
"Great genious. You get the wonder fish back and now you're just going to forget that now Hime's stuck with that french prick upstairs. Nice job, hero." Arata growled and Mateo gave him a glare.
"wonder fish?" He asked in annoyance and Arata huffed, rolling his eyes at how that was the only thing Mateo commented on.

Wanda keep her gaze from Mateo... she was upset and wanted him to know it.

but she sighed and turnbed on him, " what.... Mateo...you have a new new new friend .... "

she looked at him, " what do you want me to do clap and be happy and be like o yeah... "


she pouted and hugged the puppy to her. " come one mist er puppy.... you wont be a minne... huh" she said in a baby voice befor looking at Arata with a dark look.

" man human girls are ugly " she said just loud enough for both to hear.

"Wanda..." Mateo frowned despite her insult, while Arata was fuming.
"Ah hell, look missy if you got a problem with dumb ass here. Take it up with him. Leave me out of your PMSing." Arata growled and Mateo whirled on him.
"Arata shut the hell up. Don't talk to her like that!" He turned back to Wanda and offered her an apologetic look. "Look Wanda, I'm sorry I left you. I looked back and you were gone...They told me I couldn't get you back, so we came here to save you-"
"Granted it failed miserably." Mateo gave Arata a glare then his looked softened towards Wanda.
"Please, Wanda, eres muy querida de mi. Please, don't be mad.." (You're very dear to me) Mateo said, feeling the sting of her anger hit him.

" you didn't SEE me missing because you were TOO busy looking at HER!" she yelled suddenly before her eye's widened and she turned to face the wall.

what the hell was she saying?

she shook her head, " i hate when you look at her... think of her.... talk about her... its is always about HER!"

" what is she.... what is she too YOU ... what am I TOO YOU YOU COD FISH!" she screamed before looking at Arata and glaring...

he pissed her off for some reason.

she had nerver really had cause to be mad.... but now with Mateo... and hime... she was always getting these weird feeling.

Mateo was stunned by Wanda's sudden out burst of anger, even Arata was taken aback a bit.
"Her?" He blinked not understanding what she was saying. "You mean Hime?" He frowned in confusion till ofcourse he took in more of what she was saying. What was she to him? Of all the things she could ask, why that? It was the only thing Mateo couldn't come up with an answer to.
Wanda was.....she was.....he looked at her, making himself really look at her. He needed an answer, and quick, if he didn't want to lose her. Wanda was...like him. She was spanish, lost in this world, she was beautiful, so unique with her curiousity, she was infuriating at how much trouble she caused, she was one of the only things he'd actually taken it upon himself to protect, she was the person he met, that mad ehim smile when he should have been frowning. Wanda was...important to him. Something he didn't quite feel for Hime. But how could he say that to her without making her angry?
"Wanda you're-"
"Woman he can't stop talking about you. Even away from you the moron wanted to be stuck in this jail cell with you-" Arata butted in, starting to get a head ache from all the yelling.
Mateo felt his frustration getting the better of him and he glared at Arata telling him to knock it off before turning back to Wanda. "You're special Wanda! I don't-" He paused feeling heat come to his face at his words. "I don't know exaclty-but you're someone I care about, alot. And I don't like seeing you angry..." He swallowed hard. "I don't know why but I don't like having you gone and I worry about you. God, it seems like you've been stuck in my head since we met. Wanda..." He stopped himself the thought catching up with him. He cared about her. He really did and couldn't deny it. Wanda was special, unlike Hime. Did she understand that?

Wanda binked stuned and unable to say anything.

" i... "

she shook her head a pink tint entering her olive skin.

" ah... Mateo.... i...think you are special too... " she blushed deeper.

" sorry for yelling... i ah... i shouldn't have done that.

" so ah... when and how do we get out?" she asked changing the subject with out another thought about it.

she laughed and smiled then " ah... did you see the puppy... i want to rename him. "

she held him out to show as he whimpered .

" how about jelly fish?"

Mateo looked down at the floor, anything to make the way he felt deminish so he could be normal for now. Wanda made his heart stir, something he had been fighting feeling for a long while. But now that she knew his thought, wether or not she understood him, he couldn't go back and hide them. He blinked when she mentioned naming the dog and gave her a weak smile. "Ah yeah, he's cute...jelly fish." He tried to pet it but the dog growled at him. He didn't like dogs too much anyways, he used to get chased by the ones that hung out in the alley's behind the tavern when he was little. He moved to sit against the bars again, rubbing his forhead with his palm.
"We're stuck here for a while..." He said and Arata nodded.
"Till Hime get's married off to the General." Mateo flinched but Arata didn't notice and ruffled his hair.
"Aw, the poor little cod fish is all embrassed after his confession to Wanda the wonder fish. Hahaha." Arata fell back laughing when Mateo swatted his hand away and narrowed his eyes at him.
"Can it Ara. I remember a time when you were running off with your tail between your legs when Marelyin-" Arata's face went pale and he gave Mateo a narrow of his eyes.
"That's bellow the belt. And come on, we were all drunk! I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!"
"Yeah whatever." Mateo snickered looking to Wanda. "Don't worry Wanda. We'll be out of here soon enough..."

Wanda glared at Arata again then decided not to look at him... not worth her time.

she cuddled the dog instead and sighed. " ... Mateo... can i ah... " she started feeling silly... she just wanted to use his lap as a pillow or even his shoulder...

not long ago she would not have stopped to ask... no one ever told her no any way....

but with the way things.... were at the moment she seemed unable to continue.

" never mind ah... im so thirsty... " she grumbled.... as her skin felt tight... she had been out of water more then she would have liked... but she would live.

she leaned back against the wall and started to doze off... they seemed to be stuck her for another night anyway... in the least Mateo was with her this time....

"Water huh, let me just ask our 5 star service in this place to bring you some." Arata muttered and Mateo looked Wanda over worriedly. She did look a little pale. Was it safe for mermaids to be away from water this long? He huffed looking to a guard that walked by.
"Excuse me." The guard turned, and acknowledged Mateo with a crinkle of his nose and lip. "can we get some water, for the girl?"
The guard gave a snarky laugh and kept walking. Mateo sighed, rubbing his forehead to hide how useless he felt at the moment from the others. A while later the man came back and tossed a bucket of sea water to the floor, causing some of it to fly out of the bucket and onto Mateo. "There you go kid." The soldier snickered before leaving. Mateo got up but Arata forced him back down.
"Picking fights won't solve anything." Mateo shoved his hands off and looked to Wanda. God he wanted out of here, to just have this whole mess behind him. To have Wanda safe, somewhere again where she couldn't be hurt. But also...he wanted Hime safe. Like Wanda but maybe not as strongly at the moment. He just didn't want to see her throw herself to the sharks for them. Mateo sighed and looked out of the cell, his face drawn in a far away and troubled expression.

Hime got up early with the maid and spent the major part of the morning getting dressed.

hair and all that till she looked more then befitting as a bride....

her mind wandered to Mateo and the others hoping they were hold in on well... it was only a little while longer....


wanda woke up latter on that day with the dog licking her face.

she sputtered and pushed him away before she laughed.

" silly jelly fish... " she looked about and saw Mateo adn smiled, " hey you think... i can keep him? "

Hime was strapped into her dress, she had been washed , combed, braided, and bejeweled.

she was getting tired of the two new maids that were there gushing at her as her first maid keep her distance.

she tried to not fidget as she waited... for the first act of her death...

she hoped the three of them had a good life with this sacrifice...

there was a knock on the door as the maid moved to open for filipe's superior. the older man smiled his face kind as he smiled at her.

" ah child... he is a lucky man.... and i am proud to have the honor to walk you to him " he offered her a arm that she took as he started leading her to the military court yard were the cerebration would be.

" thank you sir, i am most glad it is such a kind man that is giving me away" she said smiling brightly to the mans delight.

" its a shame i could not snag you for my own son... but filipe needs a weekness he is too ruff.... you are just what we have all prayed for you know " he said chuckling as they got to the large doors waiting for the que to start the wedding martch.

Mateo had sat, thinking, waiting, hoping that all of this just wasn't real. That maybe he would wake up and maybe he might be back on that military fortress back in Barbados on that first day, without a care in the world. There would be no problems, no pain, no stupid unease that had worked itself into the back of his mind, no Arata, no Freya, and no Hime. Somehow....that just didn't sound as good as he wished it would.
"I'm sorry Freya...." He said again, though he knew she must have been annoyed by it by now. Arata was already down right pissed with him and made another loud groan of annoyance.
A group of guards walked up to their cell and Arata let out a sigh of relief. "Thank the gods. Someone to carry me away from this idiot!" He said and Mateo sneered at him. The guard glared at Arata and motioned to his followers. The men collected them, grumbling and struggling as they were dragged from the cell.
"Where are you taking us-?"
"To a service." One answered in a nasaly voice.
"Un Servicio?" He muttered so that Freya would get the gist of what was going on.
"Cheer up lads! There's a wedding and your invited!" A guard laughed in his face and Mateo's face fell in shock. What was that odd pained sensation that hit him in the gut. Was it guilt, fear, anger? He tried to understand it, but suddenly being forced forward by the guards broke his thought process. He could only move along the line in silent contemplation as they sat down in the alter pews. And he could only flinch at the sounds of "the bridal march" began to play on the massive organ.

the door opened bathing her in light causing her to glow as they started down the isle.

the congregation fell silent every one standing in aww as Hime passed like an angel by them.

the march took for ever and when she saw Mateo and Arata her stomach clenched but she keep her composure despite the pain.

the man then set her hand in Filipes as they met the front and the music stopped.

Hime smiled up at Filipe doing her best not to look at the three of them. " finaly " she wispered to him .

"Only a few more minutes and we'll have everything." Filipe said to her and the priest smiled a little in that holy awe.
He began a prayer in French that echoed over the open space of the military bases chapel. The place glowed with light, everyone sat dignified yet stunned in awe of the sweep in the moment. Even Mateo felt the impact of Hime's beauty, though with it came the peircing pain. He couldn't stand it, seeing her with her hand in the hold of another man's, knowing he was losing her. And did she care? He watched her his eyes pleading her to look back, to turn and run back to them, to admit that she wasn't really going to do this. But she didn't, not even when the priest asked if anyone objected.
"She played you guys like a fiddle." Arata muttered under his breath, hating to admit she got him to. Mateo felt the words hit him, made him tense.
"You're vows, do you General Filipe Constantine. Do promise to care for this woman, to swear upon the sake of your honor that you will follow a life of marital sanction upon blessings of the church, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"
"I do."
The priest looked to Hime and asked the same of her. Would she accept?

Hime looked up at Filipe and smiled, " as to merry you will give me the one thing i want most in the world as a human, yes i do " she said.

she would not say yes to say yes but yes was needed.

she pushed up on her feet and forced a quick kiss on Filipe to the delight of the every one," Filipe.... toss those dirty lice out on the street now " she said.

" its embarrassing to have them here.... " she hugging him suddenly , " please i just want it to be you here with me "

she sighed hiding her face in his chest as he wanted him to hurry and keep his end of the deal

Filipe loved the idea of winning. Infact right now he got the pleasure from a victory all its own. Who knew that such an opportunity for a high would stumble into his office only yesterday? And now it came to dealing with those that he'd crushed. Not a very hearty or challenging bunch though..Oh well, he could pick his battles with the other fools that held value in high places.
"Of course, love. You won't have to worry about them again." He gave a flick of his hand.
The guards hauled the three to their feet and Mateo struggled against their hold. "Hime-!" He called out to her but the guard hit him in the pressure point before he could complete the thought. He was out like a light, being dragged off with the others to the streets. The other nobels stared in disgust at them, whispering amoungst themselves at why such low lives would be allowed here.
"Well my dear Utahime. Perhaps you wish ti get the mingling out of the way before we retire for the evening?" He asked, throwing the wives circle of the higher appointees, chattering and giggling in the corner.

Mateo felt his body lurch as they tossed him and the others down onto the dirty alley. "un lieu adapté pour les ordures." (A fitting place for the garbage) The guard spat before leaving them there. As he came to, Mateo could feel the ache in his head as well as his chest. Hime had just let them go...like that...He thought they were friends, at least some kind of partners in this crazy destiny they'd wound themselves up in. But maybe not.
He sat up with a groan as Arata rubbed his back gingerly.
"Damn for dainty assholes on the dance floors, they're pretty forceful." He snickered but no one laughed. Mateo huffed and leaned against the alley wall for support.
"Ah, Mateo get over it. She got the better deal." Arata said, giving Mateo a slightly less evil look. "Hell, i would have done the same."
"She wouldn't do something like this." Mateo said, looking down at the ground. Arata frowned.
"Ah but she did. can't argue with that now can you?" Arata sniffed before looking back at the alley's entrance, almost wishing to see Hime there himself.

Hime keep up a brave face full of happiness.

her body was getting cold and stiff though... she hoped all those about her took it as nerves.

she smiled and laughed were she needed too... she at and cut the cake with Filipe and when she could take it no longer she sighed and looked to Filipe before winking, " i can take no more... im so tiered please dear husband let me retire to our room "

she was leaning of a pillar net to him for support ... she could barely stand on her own.

Filipe was in the middle of a conversation with a general from the Montreal post who was speaking rapidly about a new deal for weaponry for Filipe's base. He heard Hime's words as an annoying buzz next to the french but looked to her with a soft look. She did appear tired, but foreign women were fragile after all. "Alright. I'll make sure you get there safely." He said his apologies to the man and turned to Hime, offering her his arm. The two loeft the noise, the lights, and all the fantasy leaving them in the silence.
When they reached the farthest reaches of the living wings, a maid was there to open the door with a flourish. The suite was large and exstravogent, way too put together and clean, suited for a single man living a luxurious life rather than a married one. "Here you are, madame, best room in the house.." He said, giving her a half smile. He pulled Hime close, holding her by her waist. "Now, that the show is done however. We have the freedom to do as we want." He said leaning in close to give her a kiss. "And what pleases us as well-"
"Générale Filipe!" A guard walked in then took a step back at Filipe's venemous glare.
"Can't you see that I'm-"
"But sir, the commander of the kings navay, wishes to have a word with you-he said it's important-something about a raise in funding..."
Filipe's eyes were still narrowed but didn't seem as mad. He looked back to Hime. "Duty calls, rest Hime, you look pale." He said but with lack of much concern as he left to return to the waiting man.

Hime managed to make it to a chair before full weakness set in.

the maid quickly undressed her and helped her to the bed.

Hime was so week. she shivered violently as she maid tucked her in, " lady... " she said before running form the room .

a doctor was brought in and looked at her. " please say it is the nerves eating the lady " she pleaded knowing Filipe would be angry his bride is ill on there wedding night, " or bad food "

the doctor shrugged... " i dont know... ill have to bleed her... it might be bad blood " he said. getting his leaches out.

Hime didnt fight... she new it was her time. she would finally be a full human... she would die her first death tonight.

Hime got colder and colder her body seeming to turn from gold to a silver as she lay passing away quietly to the doctors puzzlement and the maids horror.

Filipe was talking buisness, working the men around him that were half drunk off their ass as the hourse passed and getting himself better on their good sides. It was a mild damper however when a hysterical maid tried to enter the room but was stopped by a guard. she whispered something to the guard who turned pale in comparisson to her. He walked up to Filipe and whispered the news to him. At first he didn't seem to get the gist of what the guard was saying, but when the words "dead" he dropped his glass. He whirled around and followed the escort from the room and to his own. There Hime lay on the bed, pale and dying while a doctor and maid hovered over her.
"What the hell is going on?!" Filipe snarled, stunned as well as down right pissed to see the doctor getting ready to bleed her.
"I don't know, Misure, she just fell ill-!"
"Shut up, already! You-fix her." He shouted at the doctor who flinched but went back to working on Hime frantically.
"But I can't. She's weak, too weak to do much of anything. Her heart is stopping!"
Filipe looked from the doctor to Hime with a growing anger and slight ache. How dare he be tricked with damaged goods? Losing his bride and formidable opponent? Cheap....just cheap.

" i just need sleep " Hime said weekly .

waving her had about , " you are all so noisy... please leave me in peace " she sighed.

she wished she had died before they got him... the ass hole should have just found her cold dead body in his bed... then to stand there pissed... and making her last moments hell.....

she sighed unable to do much more... she was just... so tired.

"And yet she speaks!" Filipe growled, the maid flinching. He looked Hime over in her paleness. She did look worse for ware but not dead yet. "Looks like shes just ill from something. Fever perhaps. Is there anything you can give her for that?" He huffed, rubbing his frowhead at the stupidity around him. The other men at the party must have thought him an utter moron right now.
"Why yes sir but-"
"You heard her. Fine. Would a dying woman say she was fine?" He snapped and the doctor shook his head slightly. "Then what is the problem? Sleep is what she needs then sleep is what she gets." He folded his arms. "Don't leave her side, stay on call. And unless she starts bleeding from her eyes or speaking tongues don't interrupt me on such matters again."

when he left she let her body sag into the bed.

done, that is what she felt like. " hmmmm to die would be an offly big adventure... " she said as she closed her eyes.

her time was up. three years of a curs finally comes to an end.,...

Hime sighed one last time before slipping into an imortal death.

Mateo was in a dark spell, or a bad mood in othe words. He'd never actually felt this mad before, next to the time Arata winded him up in fight with a pissed off ship hand and almost had him thrown over board. But he wasn't the typeto take his mood out on others, he was careful to stay cordial with Wanda as well as distant with Arata. Instead he kept to himself when they got back to the inn, escaping to the veranda outside the room for some fresh air. He perched precariously on the railing, putting himself over a potentialy dangerous fall, but even that didn't faze his thoughts of guilt and annoyance. He was suposed to protectthe girls and now one was blowing him off and the other was causing more trouble for herself than he needed. Drama, drama, drama hen did his life require this much drama?

Wanda new she could not avoid mateo forever... so she decided to go and try to make him forget her...

Hime obviously didn't want to be near them... so good riddance...right?

she new better then to say that to Mateo though.... he would not stand for it...

she was still on his mind after all... but not for long. Wanda was determined to make him forget Hime and only look at her...

she walked out on the veranda and sighed looking over the street.

" hey Mateo " she said smiling.

Mateo hardly noticed Wanda next to him. Of course she spoke and the poper response for him was to look at her with a small smile and say a quick "Hey, Wanda" in response. That was the way he tried to handle it, but his smile came off awkward and his voice was airy as if it came from a sigh. He couldn't help shortly afterwards looking back at the large fort that sat off in the distance of the night sky, illuminated by the lights of fire within it and around it. It was a morbid sight but he couldn't help but draw a bit of annoyance from it as well. He gave a huff and tried again for a smile, this time somewhat suceeding.
"so how do you like the room? It's just like the sailor said, one of the best in Port Charles." he said for idle talk to fill the silence.

Wanda tried not to notice his reluctance in smiling...

why so down, they were free... and safe.

she didnt like it... she wanted him to stop it.... she looked away for a moment her eye's watering at her jealousy.

Hime was not only married but no were in sight... but Mateo was obviously with her in his mind

not good. Wanda turned around putting her arms around him from behind hiding her face in his back.

" MAteo! please.... smiled and only look at me form now on.... i... ill make you happy... so please... please dont leave me any more... " she said.

her mind just burst out on its own... leaving even Wanda speechless.

Mateo was equally speechless and surprised. Wanda had suddenly held onto him and ordered him to only pay attention to her. Where was that coming fom? He could feel her grip tight on him, and could sense, though she spoke her thoughts there was something in her voice that indicated there was so much more bothering her. Was she worried about his mood? Or that he was planning to leave her because of the mess they'd gotten into? He was surprised that she thought that, then again he knew Wanda didn't quite understand human emotions and actions. He would have to be up front if he wanted her to understand what was going on, not just brood and give her the distant treatment. Wanda didn't deserve that.
He could quite move very well while still on the railing and her behind him. Instead he had to settle for putting his hand on her's to show her he was listening fully to her.
"Wanda, I'm just worried about Hime. With Rei not here I'm the only one she has left looking out for her. Besides you wouldn't want to see a sister of your own species in harms way right?" He said pulling the hand One of the hands from his middle so he could take it within his.
"Wanda you do make me happy. So much so. With you around I can't help but smile." He gave it a light kiss, hoping that would calm her. "But Im sorry, i cant help my concern. There are many hands at work here and I can't just focus on one at the moment." He admitted. though he enjoyed her company heavily, she didn't sooth his worry like he wished she could. "Like i said, I'm not going anywhere Wanda. Not without you." He said hoping she could feel his sincerity through his words that couldn't covey to her through his sight at the moment.

Wanda could hear him but he seemed to still be pulling away from her...

Hime.... Hime.... HIme....

" hime... is married. " she said her body trembling in her anger at his concern for her.

" she has a husband that she chose. " she stated, " she chose him over you " she continued.

she new this would hurt Mateo but she wanted him to understand were she was coming form.

" i have alway... looked at you... Mateo... i will only chose you... "

she didnt understand how to tell him in human terms... but she wanted him to understand the level of devotion she felt for him...

Mateo felt the color drain from his face at her words. Hime? Him worrying about Hime was bothering her? He was confused by that but then when she mentioned her own feeling towards him, he understood it a little more. But the truth was he didnt think of Hime like that. She was a person he felt connected to on some level but no more than a person he cared for out of duty and his own form of good morale. She was..like him in a sense but very different, lost in the world but trying to find her way as best she could. It struck a cord with him sure but, he didn't feel the same way he did with Wanda. Wanda was who he cared for, felt the need to have her close and watch over her. He had called her special before after all. But....then why did her talk of Hime leave a certain sting?
He was fueled by a bit of raw annoyance and pulled her grip away from him forcing her a step back. Quickly and precisely her turned on the railing to face her and got down from it so he could be at her level. He needed to make this clear with her, to stop troubling her with mixed feelings when he already had an answer.
"Wanda, I said you were special right?" He placed a hand on her cheek to keep he from looking away, that and he felt the need to reach out and touch her. "Have I ever lied to you before, or gone back on my word?" He asked wondering if she was really understanding what he was getting at.
He huffed, "You are what's special to me. I care for you. Hime is different, a person I worry for only because there is no one left to and she needs someone looking out for her." He was taking in his actions keeping them in check though he really didn't want to. If proving to Wanda that he cared for her required this much effort then he would take the leap and just kiss her already. If that would help ease her concern over Hime faster than his words could then he would. But first he would use the words to see if he couldnt get through to her, though their faces were close and nose hovering a inch of space between nose. After all he didn't want to freak her out, especially since he had no idea what was customary to mermaids.
"This right here." He said looking her in the eyes. "Hime is not apart of this. You are on a whole different level from her." He said. He leaned in and kissed her cheek hoping that it wouldn't startle her, though he would have preferred her lips. "Please, tell me you understand that, Wanda." He said wanting her to say yes already and let them move on from this fighting over Hime, who shouldn't have been apart of the argument anyways.

WAnda gasped at the kiss and felt as if she would melt.

"Mateo... i... " she swallowed looking at him her body still as she tried to take it all in.

" oh Mateo " she said tossing her arms about him and kissed his cheek, " thank you thank you thank you " she whispered.

she laughed and sighed. " i... i like you as i do the sea" she said before turning and running back into the room blushing bright red.

she was happy at this... he was hers... Mateo was Wandas not Hime's.

Mateo smiled slightly, relief washing over him at least enough to make him feel better about the situation. He wanted Wanda not to worry, to feel untroubled by things that bothered him. She'd been snatched out of the ocean because of him, locked in a jail cell all yesterday, and he didnt want to ad to the stress. He could solve things out for himself after all. He lightly touched his cheek from her her kiss, feeling the warmth it gave off. He felt, great after finally telling her and felt ready to give himself a bit of a break. After all there wasn't much more he could do for Hime at this point.
He walked back in leaning against the door when Arata walked by. He had previously witnessed Wanda running off as red as a tomato and now here came Mateo in one of those twitterpated states.
"You're bothering more than usual. I'm going to get a drink before I catch all of these pheromones." He growled before walking to the door and slamming it behind him. Mateo smirked at Arata actually humored by his response, before sinking onto the couch, since the girls were suposed to take the room and Arata would no doubt be in the bar all night. Things seemed to be looking up, at least a little.

Wanda slept happily that night.

she was more then content for that days happenings.

and she also new that when she woke up. a new day would start with Hime compleatly out of there lives.

Wanda slept in late even for her. but when she woke up she smiled and jumped out of bed running to the veranda and stretched her arms up towards the sun.

" GOOD MORNING!" she called out happily.

Arata jumped slightly when the shout of "Good Morning" echoed into the room. He sat up and sniffed, wincing slightly at the bright light that poured into the room. He squinted at the light and caught sight of none other than wonder fish chiper as ever and screaming at the world over how happy she was. Mateo was still out like a light, sleeping with a smile on his face that made Arata aggitated. He kicked Mateo's foot, waking Mateo up instantly.
"Ouch Ara-what?"
"Wanda is out there disturbing the peace." He huffed, rubbing his forehead.
"And hey, princess there's nothing good about mornings!" Arata called to Wanda, making Mateo give him an annoyed look.
"Quit being such an ass to her. She's a good girl, with a few quirks." He said and Arata rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, when I start caring, I'll let you know. You two hurry up and get dressed. I'm hungry and I can't leave here alone without risking running into Bartollio's pack of morons." Arata said, just thinking about the theives that still wanted to do more than just beat the money out of him.

WAnda grumbled at Arata but smiled and ran to Mateo's bed and jumped up on it playfully.

" yumm... lets go eat Mateo" she said pulling on his arm a grin on her face.

" ah.... what should we have .... " she said biting her lip trying to think of something the humans would have too.... till her stomach growled loudly.

" ah... " she said bushing, : sorry... "
