Re: Trying out Final Fantasy VI
You get Terra back after you get the Falcon. You visit her whenever (best time is right after Sabin joins Celes, her stupid village place is near where Sabin was), fight Humbaba then Humbaba leaves. Come back after you get the airship and talk with her, Humbaba attacks again I believe. It's been a while since I played. But the best part is when you get Terra back, her Morph lasts a lot longer. Wait until you get almost every other character back before you go for Locke, because you will need 2 or 3 separate teams to get him and that dungeon is HUGE. And dude, Bum Rush is the ONLY WAY. You skip on getting Gau back?

Re: Trying out Final Fantasy VI
Haven't got Gau yet bumped into his relative though. Also I went back to where I met Terra but I couldn't find her (they all keep talking about how one of the kids is preggers and I assumed that I get Terra back by finding her)
Anyway catching Mog and Shadow back up magic wise at the moment, then going to go back to Terra's village for her.
UPDATE
Found Terra, she was hidden down the basement (Just like Fritzl). Going to have a look for Gau now I suppose (could build him to be a white mage (although I can't remember if he isn't able to learn magic (don't know why but that thought is in the back of my mind))

Re: Trying out Final Fantasy VI
Gau is at the Veldt, fight an enemy and he'll pop up like usual. Teaching him magic is absolutely useless. I mean you can but he's meant to use his monster abilities. It's just you have to teach him the right ones. I mean he is the most powerful character in the game but you have to get a stratagy with him. I lost patience with him so I stopped leveling him when I do a playthrough of VI.
